Description : The Beacon Hill Cemetery was so named because it is at a slightly higher elevation than the surrounding area. The cemetery was last "read" in the 1930s by the DAR and then again in the 1980s or 90s. It contains 11 to 15 graves of the William & Catharine Ruffcorn and Phillip & Margaret (Ruffcorn) Glessner families, whose property was adjacent to this location. This Ruffcorn/Glessner cemetery is not demarcated and gravestones are not in place although at least 8 or 9 remain stacked on the property against trees (2011).
