Description	:	In the 1902 book, "Bessboro A History of Westport, Essex Co.,NY", Caroline Halstead Royce relates the following: "There is another graveyard in the village, but it is only the old people who can tell you much about it, as it has been long unused.....It is a neglected corner, overgrown with briars and burdocks.........a number of graves unmarked by stones...." Now, in 2009, many stones are broken, and many are illegible. I have several photos that I have been unable to assign to any of the names that are on the list which was surveyed in 1948 by Mrs. Grace Smith.
