Big Spring itself appears to be at the north end of the pond. The cemetery is less than 100 yards east of the pond, and about 50 yards off the road, up a little hill. Despite a reasonably new barbed wire fence (with no gate), it is not well maintained. It is overgrown with trees and vines, and very few gravestones are standing or legible. A pair of stone crypts are evident only as a well-defined pile of fieldstones. It is out in the countryside of Bledsoe County, Tennessee, not part of any town or community.
