Big Woods and New Hope but their graves are not marked. A personal search by Earnest G. Bice on 18 Nov. 1978 could find no evidence of their graves." Additionally, when Samuel and Theodocia settled in this part of Texas, their land was in Red River County, but in 1840, that part of Red River became part of Bowie County. Additionally, when Samuel and Theodocia settled in this part of Texas, their land was in Red River County, but in 1840, that part of Red River became part of Bowie County. The Old Blythe Community was somewhere around 8-9 miles south of the current town of DeKalb, Texas and west toward the current border with Red River County. It is unknown where Big Woods and New Hope, as referenced above, are located. A search of unincorporated places in Bowie County or Red River County came up with nothing. Research at a local library might help pinpoint this better.
