It is located in Armco Park at U.S. 60 & Ky. 716, Summit, Ky. The Memorial, which was dedicated in 1992, has 263 names on three World War II panels and panels for World War I, Korea and Vietnam. There are three relatively new features at the Memorial – a M-56 Scorpion, a self-propelled anti-tank vehicle; a replica of a Civil War cannon; and an engraved-brick border installed at the base... A brick can be purchased by any honorably discharged Boyd County veteran, or by the family of any deceased veteran. The Memorial is managed by the Cannonsburg Optimist Club.
