This cemetery was a free cemetery until 1972 when an Association was formed to administer a trust fund for the maintenance of the grounds. All records were lost in a house fire. The Grand River Missionary baptist Church was first located at this site with the cemetery west of their building. The church later built at the present location, which is about 1 1/4 miles nw of Brady Cemetery on the Grand River.
