Description : The Burk Cemetery was established by my GGGrandparents, Anderson and Elmira Burk around 1886 on what was then "Burk's Ridge" at the top of a hill facing Greenbriar Rd, 5 mi. off Independence Rd out of Breeding, Adair Co., KY. There are about 30+ burials there, with only 2 headstones, only 1 of which is standing. Through researching old death certificates, several burials at the Burk Cemetery have been proven and the probablility of more have been found.
