Description	:	Calvary Cemetery is a retired Roman Catholic Cemetery located on a hill in Fleur de Lys, Newfoundland. The early French fisherman may have called the location "Calvaire", Calvary in English, which is almost certainly a reference to the biblical Mount Calvary. Locals have referred to it both as Calver/Calvar and Calvary. On Sunday, May 21, 1989 Leo Shea's house burned down and the fire spread across the cemetery destroying all the wooden markers in the cemetery. Many graves are now unmarked.
