| Description | : | Campbell's Hill is located about 5 miles west of Lawrenceburg, Anderson County, Kentucky. In 1820 William B. Campbell purchased a 500-acre plantation and moved his family there from Pennsylvania. Three years later he moved to Sparta, Illinois. He returned to Kentucky to sell his land. A short time later he became ill and directed his family he was to be buried on the highest hill on his farm where he had carved his initials into a tree.
