Description : The Parish Church for Carmunnock, Cressland, Inchmurrin and South Cathkin. Located in the Presbytery of Glasgow and synod of Glasgow and Ayr, the parish church was built in 1767 and is also known as "The Kirk in the Braes." Within the structure is a vault where some members of the Stirling-Stewart family (Lairds of Castlemilk) were buried, and the church is surrounded by the old village cemetery which dates back to 1744.
