However the orginal spelling of Cathay is the most correct after the community & school that was located in the area as well as the name on a 1915 map of Oklahoma. A small cemetery called Cathy was moved to the fishertown cemetery when the lake was being built. The moved Cathy cemetery is not to be confused with this Cathay/Cathey/Cathy cemetery that has not been moved. [email protected]
