Description	:	Cedar Grove Plantation was settled by Major John Doswell. The bodies of Major Doswell and his wife Mary Elizabeth Poythress Epes are buried there along with Francis Washington Epes and his wife Frances Susan Doswell Epes. Other family members are here also but graves have not been located yet. A slave cemetery is located on the east side of the property facing Rte 49. The plantation is located in the St. Marks region of Nottoway County. Cemetery is located down a dirt road about 1 mile off of where Hungarytown Road (RTE 626) and Rte 49 intersect....
