Description	:	Lower Swatara Township. It's not known for sure when this area was first used as a cemetery but in 1872 the land was sold to the Chambers Hill Cemetery Company. The earliest burial is thought to be that of the infant son of Samuel and Sarah Cassel Riegel who died 12 April 1841. Notice appearing in Middletown Press 15 May 1897, Purchasers of lots have been notified if lots remain unpaid at the end of six months, all dead buried on such lots will be removed to the public burial plot and there be re-interred, and the lots thus made vacant,...
