| Description | : | The planning for the Anglican church begun in 1850s, the design being based off the St Mary’s Parish Church in Lutterworth, England. The foundation stone was laid in 1868 but by 1870 funding from Thomas Reibey (who was buried within the cemetery) had almost completely dried up and just one person was left to finish construction. It wasn’t until 1957, when the church was approaching its centenary of construction starting, was interest renewed in its completion.
