| Description | : | Presbyterian Church of East Africa. The mission at Kikuyu was originally started around 1898 when Thomas Watson arrived in the area. Unfortunately, he died of pneumonia on 4th December 1901 and was replaced by Dr David Scott from Blantyre in Nyasaland, (now Malawi). However, work on the mission continued and the first church on the site, which was pre-fabricated in Scotland, became the Scott Watson Memorial Church.
