Description	:	Located of county road 1883 on the road from Hammon Schoolhouse to Mussell Shoals on the old Hammond Farm in Lusby Mills. In the 1820s David Clifton, one of the first settlers of the community of Lusby Mills, set aside 1/4 acre of land for a family cemetery. In the mid 1990's descendants of David's located the cemetery in a field that was being used as a cow pasture. In 1996 they fenced the area and restored as much of it as possible. They uncovered approximately 75 grave sites, some being unmarked or marked... In the 1820s David Clifton, one of the first settlers of the community of Lusby Mills, set aside 1/4 acre of land for a family cemetery. In the mid 1990's descendants of David's located the cemetery in a field that was being used as a cow pasture. In 1996 they fenced the area and restored as much of it as possible. They uncovered approximately 75 grave sites, some being unmarked or marked with field stone. They found around 10 readable tombstones, one being David's son, Josiah, their 2nd great-grandfather. Since that time the descendants have become too elderly to properly maintain the cemetery. It remains fenced, but is becoming very overgrown again. The rock wall against the road where it is located has been dismantled although it is hoped the new owners will reconstruct it.
