Description	:	The first Methodist class in Cameron district was organized at the Clouston home in 1836 by the Rev. Moses Tichnell, assisted by a local preacher, Edward Dowler. WILLIAM CLOUSTON was class leader and held meetings in his home, which was open for preaching twice a month. Through his efforts, a log chapel was built in 1841. This church continued its course of good work until 1875 when a remarkable revival was held under the preaching of Rev. T. B. Hughes.
