Description	:	During the Second Anglo Boer War, on 15 December, 1899, General Sir Redvers Buller first attempted to cross the Thukela River and relieve Ladysmith. He met with disaster at the Battle of Colenso. Memorials and graves have been moved to this site, which was General Buller’s headquarters during the battle.
