Description	:	The first settlement in Lindley Township, Lindsley Town, was made on June 8, 1790 upon the Tioga River flats, by Colonel Eleazer Lindsley (1737-1794), accompanied by about 40 relatives and friends. He was the first to be placed in the plat he had himself selected as a cemetery for his colony. Situated on the west bank of the Tioga River, the cemetery is located on the east side of Steuben County Rd 115, about 1.5 miles south of Lindley, NY and less than a mile north Lawrenceville, PA. It serves as the final resting place for many area pioneers.
