| Description | : | The foundation of the Ermida de Santa Catarina (Saint Catherine Chapel) has a very ancient origin. In 1171 it already existed as a Parish Church. There are no traces left of the original building (the popular tradition says that the baptismal font that exists on the site originates from the primitive temple). In the 16th century, Isabel, daughter of Jaime, Duke of Bragança, founded, next to the Ermida de Santa Catarina, a convent of friars.
