The headstones are numbered beginning with the burial of John Geach on September 30, 1873 who was number 1. There are no names on the stones. The stones are numbered 1 through 236. Not all residents of the Poor House are buried there. Some residents were buried elsewhere. The Cayuga County Historians Office has the records.
