Description : The cemetery is located across US 221 from the town of Crossnore. It is behind and on the hill to the northeast about 100 yards from the Crossnore Church. The Church is at the Corner of Knob Hill road and US 221. The hill is overgrown with many of the graves hidden in the trees. Some of the area has been cleared of undergrowth. US 221 is named the Dr. Mary Martin Sloop Highway in honor of her efforts to establish the Crossnore School and have the highway run next to the school. She is buried in the cemetery.
