The chapel no longer exists, and the cemetery is not well-maintained. The contact number currently maintained for this cemetery in the Louisiana Cemetery Directory is for St. Peter's Catholic Church, located in Morrow, Louisiana, but no recent burials have occurred here. Unfortunately, no record of burials in this cemetery is held by either the Diocese of Lafayette or St. Peter's, and records appear to have been lost (or perhaps were never maintained). Historical obituaries and probate records have been used to identify burials here when a headstone is no longer present. It is evident that family members were buried together in this cemetery, as separate stands of graves occur throughout the property. To reach this cemetery, travel I-49 toward Whiteville, Louisiana. Take exit 40 at Whiteville and turn east on Hwy 29. Go 1/4 mile to the 29/182 intersection. Turn right on La Hwy 182 and travel approximately 4 miles. The cemetery is on the right side of the road, but it is very easy to miss if it has not been cleared recently. It is easiest to locate by looking for the gravel/dirt farm access road that runs directly to the left of the cemetery, which is easily spotted on Hwy 182. Turn onto the access road to park and explore the cemetery. This gravel road also has a metal grate bridge that crosses Bayou Boeuf, which marks the back border of the cemetery. Graves are difficult to locate, as many have been displaced by trees, overgrowth, cave ins and, in a few cases, vandalism. Many headstones that were transcribed in the 1980's are now missing.
