Description	:	In 1913 this cemetery was described as follows: "Many name plates must have been removed from the monuments on this burial ground, which, until recently, was unenclosed by fence or wall. Not a single Dutch inscription is to be found, yet Mannar, under the Dutch, was an important place." Source: J.
