Description	:	This is a large cemetery surrounded by a high thick rock wall. There is a huge granite obelisk within the rock walls with the Farmer names facing out and the Boyd names on the right side. There are stone steps to enter the cemetery to the right of the obelisk which puts the Boyd side on your left when entering the cemetery. There are only 5 inscribed headstones in the cemetery and they are damaged, all other graves are marked with plain field stones. George Calvin Waldrep III, published 2 books, Halifax County Cemeteries I, 1985 and II in 1986. In book I, the information on this cemetery he states there is an inscription "Built by J. H. Carter 1818--Reearthed by J. H. Gillespie May 16, 1929". I couldn't read it when I was there. He list the information on all 5 headstones in his book and I now have pictures of them here. A. A.
