Description	:	Fort McPherson is a hamlet located in the Inuvik Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada. It is located on the east bank of the Peel River and is 121 km (75 mi) south of Inuvik on the Dempster Highway. Originally the site of a Hudson's Bay Company post the community was named for "Murdoch McPherson". *NOTE this cemetery has two different locations*. The original is next to the church in the South East corner of the village. the second section is in the North West corner of the village. Per the tribal office the village considers them the same cemetery. Both cemetery are still in use but the original location is only open to family members of those already burred there.
