Bowen & Company, Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana, 1915, the Fredonia United Brethren Church was started by Felix Boicourt and his two children, Catherine and Absalom, in the 1840s and was located a mile and a half south of Westport. The frame church was still reported in use in 1915. The Plat Book of Decatur County, Indiana, 1915, F. E. Mulford, Draughtsman, shows a church building on the east side of S County Road 500 W at the location of the current Freedonia...
