Description : In spring 1944, by the initiative of the board of directors of Deutsche Gasrusswerke GmbH Gleiwitz, two slave labor camps were established in Gliwice. They were located at ul. Pszczyńska, in the immediate vicinity of the production plant. The first camp was designed for slave workers, mainly Poles. The second one was for Jews (Judenlager) and it was called Rü Lager Degusa (Rüstenlager) Gleiwitz-Steigern or Zwangsarbeiterlager Degusa Gleiwitz-Steigern Deutsche Gasrusswerke GmbH.
