Description	:	The Glenwood African American Cemetery was established in 1885. It is located at the end of West Church St. off Grand Avenue. Glenwood once was home to a large percentage of African-Americans following the railroad's construction in the 1880s to around 1936, according to a January 1986 article in the DeLand Sun News. There were a number of homes of workers of the Bond Company and the Burt Company living here. The road is named for the Mount Olive AME Church and the adjacent St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church.
