Description : Snowdown (or Snowden) was the home of Congressman Andrew Robison Govan (1794-1841). His daughter Sallie lived there and married Christopher Mott, militia general and Confederate colonel. Snowdown was burned by Union soldiers during the Civil War and no longer exists.
