Description	:	Located on the property of the Eastern Shore of Virginia National Wildlife Refuge. At the beginning of World War II, a lot of the land that is now part of the Wildlife Refuge was acquired by the federal government and named Fort John Custis, after a prominent eighteenth century resident of Northampton County. The cemetery is in an area that was Fort Custis on the Old Douglas Fitchett Farm. The Administration Office, has a map of the Reserve which includes the location of the cemetery. off Route 13 in Virginia just north of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.
