| Description | : | Hanging Rock Presbyterian Church was organized sometime before 1788 and was probably the oldest church in the Heath Springs area. In 1790 James Love deeded two acres on which to build a church. The location was marked on the 1825 Mills map of Lancaster District. In 1806 and 1807 it was affiliated with the Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church but after that returned to the Presbyterian faith. By 1812 the church was extinct.
