Description	:	The first owner of the cemetery ground was Malcolm Henry who obtained land patents in the area starting in 1824. In 1834 Malcolm Henry obtained a patent for the south half of Section 20, Range 48 North, Township 1 East, and the family cemetery is on this property. The 1899 Lincoln County plat map shows the cemetery with Thomas Miller Carter in ownership of the property less than 3 miles south of Moscow Mills. Henry and Carter families intermarried. Early 20th century death certificates show that the cemetery was known as the Henry Cemetery and later as the Carter cemetery. The...
