Description	:	Originally purchased as possible farm land by a New York banker, it was later turned over to a non-profit group and established in 1886 as a non-sectarian cemetery. In 1903 The Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery was relocated here from neighboring Plainfield. Hillside cemetery is 125 acres and is the resting place of many famous individuals including Civil War Officers, Congressmen, Senators, Authors, Artists, Actors and Sports figures. Pursuant to their privacy policy they do not provide information indiscriminately. Photography is also not allowed.
