Description	:	In 1966 the Hiner decadents of John & Magdalena (Bruner) Hiner decided to clean up the cemetery. Since all the headstones had been knocked down by livestock, they purchased a new large obelisk with all the names of those buried there inscribed on it. The new stone had a chain link fence placed around it, protecting it from roaming livestock. The old headstones were hauled away. Miss Mary Clay Hiner transcribed the information on the headstones at that time. When the Mathenys published their book Vital Records of Highland County, they used Mary Clay's notes. Outside of the chain link there are several field rocks still visible marking unknown Hiner family graves. Location of the grave yard is on land settled by the pioneer John Hiner. Situated on private farm land.
