Land for the cemetery, adjoining the church, was donated on June 1, 1887, by Charles E. Cox, Effie D. Cox, J.W. Aldrich, Flora S. Aldrich, Jackson Vandegraft and Mary Vandegraft. Land was donated as a free burial ground for descendants of the donors, and for members of the community.
