Description : St. Martin's Church is a historic Episcopal church in Showell MD, listed on the National Register of Historic places. The Church, completed in 1764, was the first parish church of Worcester Parish for a congregation that was established as early as 1692. The first documentation found of the graveyard was in the 1703 will of Roger Thomas who directed that his body be buried “in the Church Yard at St. Martin’s” After St. Paul's Episcopal Church was established in nearby Berlin in 1824, St. Martin’s Church fell into disuse and disrepair.
