Description : In 1812, Peter Gruver and his wife Blandina deeded land to their son John with a provision for establishing a graveyard. In 1817, Peter divided his land between his children, including his daughter Elizabeth, who married John Hoffman. The Hoffman family burial ground was established on part of the Hoffman property and contains 12 burials from the Gruver and Hoffman families. The burial ground is located 250 feet to the north of Gruversville Road, about 3/10 mile from Richlandtown Road. The property is privately owned but the cemetery is being maintained in good shape.
