Description	:	Hoffnungstal, Akkerman, Bessarabia, South Russia was located 2¾ miles due east of what now is Lambrivka, Odes'ka, Ukraine Notes and Photo by Elaine (Becker) MORRISON: The HOFFNUNGSTAL BESSARABIA CEMETERY's location, when established in about 1842, was 2¾ miles due east of the village known today as Lambrivka, Odes'ka, Ukraine. Shortly after the Germans were forced to leave Hoffnungstal in 1940, the village was totally abandoned and then demolished by the Russians. Hoffnungstal's cemetery apparently was also virtually demolished since in 2001 there were very few grave markers visible throughout the entire cemetery.
