| Description | : | The Italian Catholics arriving in Norristown first attended the largely Irish Saint Patrick's parish. In 1903, two Italian missionary priests arrived in Norristown to establish a new church for the Italian catholics. The cornerstone for the Church of San Salvatore was laid on September 20, 1903, on the very spot where the present Church stands. In 1942, Father George Delia became the Pastor of Holy Saviour and began a period of tremendous growth.
