Description	:	These stones were from the original Homer village cemetery that was located behind the churches on Main St. See map at http://maps.bpl.org/id/18268 (It is now the school playground.) Glenwood Cemetery was opened in the 1860's. Families moved their loved ones to new locations within Glenwood. If families had left the area, there was no one to move these last burials. Glenwood Cemetery was opened in the 1860's. Families moved their loved ones to new locations within Glenwood. If families had left the area, there was no one to move these last burials. They were grouped together in the upper left corner of Glenwood Cemetery. Some have incorrectly assumed that this was a potter's field. In 1975 I saw the stones set upright in the ground along the pasture fence. They are all lying flat on ground now. Graves were dug in rows separate from stones. Names listed here are from a 1940's reading. Not all still have markers.
