Description	:	The house-museum of the outstanding Armenian writer and poet Paruyr Sevak is located in his native village of Zangakatun. The house-museum is located next to the writer's father's house, where he spent his childhood and early years. Read More	The house-museum of the outstanding Armenian writer and poet Paruyr Sevak is located in his native village of Zangakatun. The house-museum is located next to the writer's father's house, where he spent his childhood and early years. Sevak's personal belongings are stored here, as well as many photographs, books and manuscripts. Right next to the house there is a picturesque garden, some of the trees in which the writer planted with his own hands. It is in this garden that the grave of Sevak and his wife Nelli Menagarishvili is located. The life of the writer was interrupted suddenly when in 1971, returning from his native village to Yerevan, Sevak and his wife were killed in a car accident. The project of the house-museum building was developed by the famous Armenian architect Jim Torosyan. According to the original version, the museum was supposed to be a complex consisting of a vestibule, exhibition halls, a chapel-bell tower and an amphitheater. However, only part of the project was implemented - the vestibule, which to this day is the current part of the exposition of the house-museum. During his lifetime, Paruyr Sevak left an oral will, according to which he wanted to be buried in his own garden under his father's apricot tree. After the tragic death of the poet, his wish was fulfilled.
