The Upchurch compilation cited "Early Tombstone Record of Talladega County, Alabama", c. 1973 by Carolyn Lane Luttrell, for three of the five burials reported to be here, as they only found two marble grave markers. One large obelisk was in memory of Nancy S. Murray Hudson (1798-1858) and a second smaller one for Willie Ann Hudson (1849-1854), although review of its cleaned inscription discloses an unnamed infant daughter Hudson is also memorialized. There are two parallel grave depressions alongside the fallen obelisk of Nancy Hudson which are over two feet deep, twice the usual depth of such features. Memorials with headstone photographs reflect Isaac (1799-1863) and son Edward Murray Hudson (1827-1862) were buried in Fairview Cemetery, Grayson County, Texas. Martha Sommer Gray Hudson (1830-1858), wife of the son, has a memorial with headstone photograph for interment in the same cemetery as her father in Winston County, Mississippi. These were the three additional burials listed as being here in Talladega County, although with slightly different years of birth and death than that inscribed on their actual headstones in Texas and Mississippi. In addition, details provided in the 1973 county cemetery compilation of Isaac Hudson dying in Sherman, Texas, and his son Edward being stricken ill and dying while serving in Young's Brigade could not have been learned from their headstones as it was not inscribed upon them. The 1973 county cemetery compilation apparently relied upon family bible entries or oral history in placing their burials here. Talladega County Historical Association (TCHA) Newsletter #108 (October 1981) reflects patriarch Isaac Hudson was a member of a county trail jury which heard a gambling case in the Spring of 1833. "Historic Tales of Talladega", c. 1959 by E. Grace Jemison, recounts that he became a member of the Talladega Baptist Church at a camp meeting in Wewoka during 1839, and was elected as one of the four Wewokaville managers of the Alabama & Tennessee Rivers Railroad in October of 1850.
