Read More	This cemetery is located on the Westside of Jacksonville. It is behind a locked gate at a drive that leads to private wooded property, which is used for recreational game hunting. BE WARE OF HUNTERS WITH GUNS. To get to the gate, travel down Normandy Boulevard and turn on Nathan Hale Road. Proceed a short way to New Mount Zion Church at 5410 Nathan Hale Rd on your right. Almost directly across the road on the left is the gated drive that goes into the woods. The cemetery is some distance down the drive on the right; it was heavily overgrown and neglected until recently when the city started managing the cemetery. Surrounded by a chain-linked fence, the cemetery has a huge Live Oak in the center with markers on graves under the tree; some markers are in very poor condition. As of 2006, the cemetery is still being used for burials.
