The land has new owners and the owner's wife has passed away and he had her buried near the gravesite of Jonas and Mary Peterson. The only name on the land deeds for Poplar, NC is 11516 NC 197, Green Mountain, NC. which use to be in the old records: Poplar, NC. The new land owner maintains the small cemetery and has done a beautiful job. Peterson family members provided the new grave marker for Jonas & Mary which... The new land owner maintains the small cemetery and has done a beautiful job. Peterson family members provided the new grave marker for Jonas & Mary which is beautiful as well.
