Description : "The Scotsman, 25 September 1922" The handsome memorial erected in remembrance of the 64 men and one woman of Kemnay, Aberdeenshire, who lost their lives in the Great War, was unveiled yesterday by Lieut.-Col Robert Bruce, D.S.O. M.D., cults, Aberdeen, the officer formerly commanding the 7th Battalion Gordon Highlanders, which included the Kemnay Company. The dedication was performed by Colonel Rev. James Smith, T.D. (hon. C.F.) St. George's-in-the-West, Aberdeen, late Senior Chaplain, 1st Scottish General Hospital.
