Description : This small, neglected cemetery is the burial site of James Matlock Kitchens and wife Sallie Brown, son Christopher Columbus Kitchens and wife Sarah Ann Taylor, sister-in-law Frances Brown and husband John Daniel Randolph, and several other family members. It is not to be confused with the other small Kitchens Cemetery alongside U.S. 78 some three miles away. When I visited in 2003, the cemetery was in a deplorable state and there was no trace to be found of the markers of James Matlock Kitchens and his immediate family.
