Description : Knob Prairie cemetery is one of the oldest in Mad River Township and was associated with the Knob Prairie Christian Church, erected about 1806. The land for the church and burying ground was donated by Judge Joseph Layton (who is buried here) and was located on a rocky bluff overlooking the prairie. The first burial occurred about 1809. Around 1880, the church moved to the town of Enon where it is still active today. The last burial at the cemetery was in 1915.
