Description	:	On 30 April 1676 "The Fishing Place", 50 acres, was patented to Thomas Lamar by assignment from Nathaniel Trueman. The land was part of 500 acres that Truman was granted in 1675. James Thompson surveyed "The Fishing Place" on 6 March 1676. At that time, the land was located in Calvert County, Maryland. It was situated on the West side of the Patuxent River and the North side of Trent Creek. It is believed that his home overlooked Trent Creek. At one time, the area was known as LAMAR.
