| Description | : | Long time resident of the community, Clayton Mays, now deceased, always told of the Lavender Brothers who were Confederate Veterans and were buried together in this area. The story was of two brothers and they supposedly never married. There are three field stone marked graves here, head and foot stones. This family had three brothers, Clifton M Lavender, Paulus P Lavender and George W Lavender, all enlisted in 1861. Clifton and Paulus survived the war, married and raised families.
